Community Outreach Opportunities of Latrobe

At the Rotary Club of Latrobe, we are passionate about giving back to our community through meaningful service. That’s why we launched Latrobe Rotary C.O.O.L.—an initiative dedicated to teaming up with local nonprofits to assist with their vital programs and events. C.O.O.L. is all about creating opportunities for our Rotarians and community volunteers to make a difference in Latrobe and beyond.

• Lincoln Highway Supper Market (June - August)
  Rotarians volunteer by parking cars and directing traffic during this beloved summer event, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Big Brothers Big Sisters Easter Egg Hunt
  We host an Easter egg hunt for 20 local participants and their Big Brothers Big Sisters matches, bringing joy and excitement to the kids.
• Sunflower Bouquet Distribution for the Community Liver Alliance
  Our volunteers help by distributing beautiful sunflower bouquets in support of the Community Liver Alliance, spreading cheer and raising awareness.
• The Great American Banana Split Celebration
  We assist with various tasks, including providing volunteers to help make this sweet celebration a success!
• Arnold Palmer Latrobe Airport Flower Gardens
  We contribute by weeding the flower gardens outside the airport, helping to keep the area beautiful for visitors and locals alike.
• Latrobe Community Revitalization Program Christmas Tree Project
  Our team helps with putting Christmas trees in stands to prepare for the annual decorating project, bringing holiday cheer to downtown Latrobe.
• Westmoreland Food Bank Assistance
  Once a month, we team up with the Food Bank to unload trucks and distribute food to those in need at St. Vincent Grove.
• Laurel Area Faith in Action Senior Gift Program
  Each year, we assist in providing gifts to nearly 500 seniors in our community by helping to deliver these much-appreciated items.
